I’m Mike, known around here as “Mike on a Bike.” Having been lucky enough to be born and raised here in Santa Barbara, I have come to love this town and its history, and sharing that love with visitors. After retiring from a corporate job I decided to do only things that I enjoy. After biking across the USA and many other bike adventures, I began American Riviera Bike Tours to continue my passion for exploration, history, and sharing this beautiful town.

My favorite bike is the regular cruiser. It’s an easy and fun way to get around town.

American Riviera Bike Tours was started in 2024 after I finally retired from my day job. I’ve given ~100 tours at my previous job.
Since I was in my early 20s, I’ve always wanted to have my own bike shop, and I knew It wouldn’t be fun unless I offered a comprehensive tour of my favorite city.
Today, I am proud to call myself the founder of an amazing company providing bike tours of Santa Barbara! Come pay us a visit and ask for Mike–I’d be happy to meet you!
